THE CALL

We’re big readers at Pinpoint so being asked to develop a booth at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference for Google was a warmly received challenge. This conference is a meeting of the book-loving minds from librarians, authors, publishers, and more. At the same time, Google for Education strives to give educators and learners at every age the tools needed to build the future they’d love to see. The ALA Annual Conference was a perfect place to show that commitment.

OUR RESPONSE

Books are like portals into new worlds. While we haven’t pulled off such an elaborate passageway (yet), we were able to convert a 30’ x 30’ space into a hub of conversation for the conference's 27,000 attendees. Our focus remained on creating designated pockets for people to converge for spirited discussions. We had Google experts on-hand and, with soft seating and demo sessions, people were able to learn more about the products and programs Google has to offer. In addition to the design and build of the booth, Pinpoint also managed all onsite logistics from hiring staff and catering. This was just the opening chapter for us as Pinpoint was invited to return and design a booth for the following year!
